Trigger Authentication#

Google Cloud uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Google Cloud account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Google Cloud APIs in both code and no-code steps.

Slack Overview#

The Pipedream Slack app enables you to build event-driven workflows that interact with the Slack API. Once you authorize the Pipedream app's access to your workspace, you can use Pipedream workflows to perform common Slack actions or write your own code against the Slack API.

The Pipedream Slack app is not a typical app. You don't interact with it directly as a bot, and it doesn't add custom functionality to your workspace out of the box. It makes it easier to automate anything you'd typically use the Slack API for, using Pipedream workflows.

Send text as Slack mrkdwn	`mrkdwn`	`boolean`	`TRUE` by default. Pass `FALSE` to disable Slack markup parsing. See docs here
Attachments	`attachments`	`string`	A JSON-based array of structured attachments, presented as a URL-encoded string (e.g., `[{"pretext": "pre-hello", "text": "text-world"}]`).
Parse	`parse`	`string`	Change how messages are treated. Defaults to none. By default, URLs will be hyperlinked. Set `parse` to `none` to remove the hyperlinks. The behavior of `parse` is different for text formatted with `mrkdwn`. By default, or when `parse` is set to `none`, `mrkdwn` formatting is implemented. To ignore `mrkdwn` formatting, set `parse` to full.

Send as User	`as_user`	`boolean`	Optionally pass `TRUE` to post the message as the authenticated user, instead of as a bot. Defaults to `FALSE`.
Schedule message	`post_at`	`string`	Messages can only be scheduled up to 120 days in advance, and cannot be scheduled for the past. The datetime should be in ISO 8601 format. (Example: `2014-01-01T00:00:00Z`)

Action Authentication#

Slack uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Slack account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Slack and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Slack API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:
