This integration creates a workflow with a PagerDuty trigger and Filter action. When you configure and deploy the workflow, it will run on Pipedream's servers 24x7 for free.

  1. Select this integration
  2. Configure the New On-Call Rotation trigger
    1. Connect your PagerDuty account
    2. Optional- Select one or more Escalation Policies
    3. Configure Interval to poll for new rotations
  3. Configure the Continue execution if a condition Is met action
    1. Connect your Filter account
    2. Optional- Configure Reason for continuing
    3. Optional- Configure Reason for ending
    4. Configure Initial value
    5. Select a Condition
  4. Deploy the workflow
  5. Send a test event to validate your setup
  6. Turn on the trigger

Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

PagerDuty Overview

The PagerDuty API offers a powerful interface to automate your digital operations management. By leveraging its capabilities on Pipedream, you can create workflows that respond to incidents, automate alerts, and synchronize incident data across various platforms. PagerDuty's API enables you to manage services, teams, and incidents, ensuring that your systems remain operational and that the right people are notified at the right time.

Interval to poll for new rotationstimer$.interface.timer

The PagerDuty API doesn't support webhook notifications for on-call rotations, so we must poll the API to check for these changes. Change this interval according to your needs.

Trigger Authentication

PagerDuty uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your PagerDuty account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into PagerDuty and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any PagerDuty API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

Filter Overview

The Filter API is a great way to build powerful workflows that can manipulate
and transform data. Here are some examples of what you can build using the
Filter API:

  • A workflow that transforms data from one format to another
  • A workflow that filters out data that does not meet certain criteria
  • A workflow that sorts data in a specific order
  • A workflow that calculates statistics or aggregates data
  • A workflow that combines data from multiple sources

Action Authentication

The Filter API does not require authentication.
