Workast Overview#

Trigger Authentication#

Workast uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Workast account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Workast APIs in both code and no-code steps.

To retrieve your API key:

Navigate to your Workast account and sign in
In Chrome you need to open the Developers tools (View -> Developer -> Developer tools)
Go to the Application tab
Navigate to cookies and you will find a cookie called token
Remember to URL decode the token before you use it with a tool like https://www.urldecoder.org/

Action Authentication#

Google Sheets uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Google Sheets account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Google Sheets and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Google Sheets API.
