Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit new event in Pipedream when a subscribed event is triggered in memberful.
Version:0.0.1
Key:memberful-new-webhook-event

Memberful Overview

The Memberful API lets you handle memberships and subscriptions with precision. Using Pipedream, you can automate tasks around Memberful's robust features, like syncing member data, managing subscriptions, or triggering events based on membership changes. Pipedream's serverless platform turns these tasks into workflows you can build, run, and observe with ease.

Trigger Code

import crypto from "crypto";
import app from "../../memberful.app.mjs";
import { v4 as uuidv4 } from "uuid";

export default {
  type: "source",
  key: "memberful-new-webhook-event",
  name: "New Webhook Event",
  description: "Emit new event in Pipedream when a subscribed event is triggered in memberful.",
  version: "0.0.1",
  props: {
    app,
    http: "$.interface.http",
    secret: {
      type: "string",
      label: "Secret",
      description: "The secret used to sign the webhook. First you need to create this source with a random secret, then [create webhook in Memberful](https://memberful.com/help/custom-development-and-api/webhooks/#create-an-endpoint) with the source endpoint, then go back to this source and update the secret with the one from Memberful.",
    },
  },
  methods: {
    verifyHmacSignature(rawBody, signature, secret) {
      const hmac = crypto.createHmac("sha256", secret);
      hmac.update(rawBody);
      const digest = hmac.digest("hex");
      return digest === signature;
    },
    emitEvent(event) {
      this.$emit(event, {
        summary: event.event,
        id: uuidv4(),
        ts: Date.now(),
      });
    },
  },
  async run(req) {
    if (!this.verifyHmacSignature(req.bodyRaw, req.headers["x-memberful-webhook-signature"], this.secret)) {
      throw new Error("Invalid signature");
    }
    this.emitEvent(req.body);
  },
};

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.
LabelPropTypeDescription
MemberfulappappThis component uses the Memberful app.
N/Ahttp$.interface.httpThis component uses $.interface.http to generate a unique URL when the component is first instantiated. Each request to the URL will trigger the run() method of the component.
Secretsecretstring

The secret used to sign the webhook. First you need to create this source with a random secret, then create webhook in Memberful with the source endpoint, then go back to this source and update the secret with the one from Memberful.

Trigger Authentication

Memberful uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Memberful account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Memberful APIs in both code and no-code steps.

Action Authentication

ServiceNow uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your ServiceNow account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into ServiceNow and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any ServiceNow API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:
