Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit a new event when the form is answered. [See the documentation](https://developers.google.com/forms/api/reference/rest/v1/forms.responses/list)
Version:0.0.2

Google Forms Overview

The Google Forms API lets you programmatically access and manipulate your forms and responses. In Pipedream, integrating Google Forms can automate mundane tasks, sync form data with other services, and trigger actions based on submission events. You can create, edit, and collaborate on forms, and analyze responses in real-time combined with Pipedream's serverless platform to create powerful workflows.

Trigger Code

import base from "../common/base.mjs";
import sampleEmit from "./test-event.mjs";

export default {
  ...base,
  key: "google_forms-new-form-answer",
  name: "New Form Answer",
  description: "Emit a new event when the form is answered. [See the documentation](https://developers.google.com/forms/api/reference/rest/v1/forms.responses/list)",
  version: "0.0.2",
  dedupe: "unique",
  type: "source",
  methods: {
    ...base.methods,
    generateMeta(response) {
      return {
        id: response.responseId,
        summary: "New Answer",
        ts: new Date(response.createdTime).getTime(),
      };
    },
  },
  async run({ $ }) {
    const lastSubmittedTime = this.getLastSubmittedTime();
    const { responses } = await this.googleForms.listFormResponses({
      formId: this.formId,
      $,
      params: {
        filter: lastSubmittedTime && `timestamp >= ${lastSubmittedTime}`,
      },
    });
    if (!responses || !Array.isArray(responses)) {
      return;
    }
    const responseSorted = this.sortResponses(responses);
    this.setLastSubmittedTime(
      responseSorted.length && responseSorted[0].lastSubmittedTime,
    );
    this.emitResponses(responseSorted.reverse());
  },
  sampleEmit,
};

Trigger Authentication

Google Forms uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Google Forms account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Google Forms and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Google Forms API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

emailprofilehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/forms.bodyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/forms.body.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/forms.responses.readonly

Amazon SES Overview

Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) is a powerful cloud-based email sending service designed to help digital marketers and application developers send marketing, notification, and transactional emails. With the SES API, you can reliably send emails at scale, manage sender reputations, view email sending statistics, and maintain a high deliverability rate. Leveraging Pipedream's capabilities, you can integrate SES seamlessly into serverless workflows, automate email responses based on triggers from other apps, and analyze the effectiveness of your email campaigns by connecting to data analytics platforms.
