Trigger Authentication#

Kontent.ai uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Kontent.ai account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Kontent.ai APIs in both code and no-code steps.

To retrieve your API keys,

Navigate to your Kontent.ai account and sign in
Click the User menu on the left bottom
Go to “Projects.”
On one of your projects click “Open Project.”
Click the Environment menu located on the second column at the top
Go to “API Keys.”
Create a new key under "Management API keys" or "Delivery API keys" tab, depending on the Kontent.ai API you'd like to connect via Pipedream

To retrieve your Environment ID,

Navigate to your Kontent.ai account and sign in
Click the User menu on the left bottom
Go to “Projects”
On one of your projects click “Open Project”
Click the Environment menu located on the second column at the top
On one of your environments, click the More Actions option with the three dots (“Open Project”)
Go to “Environment Settings.”

YouTube Data Overview#

The YouTube Data API lets you incorporate functions normally executed on the YouTube website into your own website or application. On Behalf Of Content Owner	`onBehalfOfContentOwner`	`string`	This parameter can only be used in a properly authorized request. Note: This parameter is intended exclusively for YouTube content partners. The `onBehalfOfContentOwner` parameter indicates that the request's authorization credentials identify a YouTube CMS user who is acting on behalf of the content owner specified in the parameter value. This parameter is intended for YouTube content partners that own and manage many different YouTube channels. It allows content owners to authenticate once and get access to all their video and channel data, without having to provide authentication credentials for each individual channel. The CMS account that the user authenticates with must be linked to the specified YouTube content owner.
On Behalf Of Content Owner Channel	`onBehalfOfContentOwnerChannel`	`string`	This parameter can only be used in a properly authorized request. Note: This parameter is intended exclusively for YouTube content partners. The `onBehalfOfContentOwnerChannel` parameter specifies the YouTube channel ID of the channel to which a video is being added. This parameter is required when a request specifies a value for the `onBehalfOfContentOwner` parameter, and it can only be used in conjunction with that parameter. In addition, the request must be authorized using a CMS account that is linked to the content owner that the `onBehalfOfContentOwner` parameter specifies. Finally, the channel that the `onBehalfOfContentOwnerChannel` parameter value specifies must be linked to the content owner that the `onBehalfOfContentOwner` parameter specifies.

Action Authentication#

YouTube Data uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your YouTube Data account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into YouTube Data and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any YouTube Data API.
