Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit new event for each new YouTube video tied to a location.
Version:0.0.8
Key:youtube_data_api-new-videos-by-location

YouTube (Data API) Overview

The YouTube Data API lets you incorporate functions normally executed on the YouTube website into your own website or application. You can perform operations like searching for videos, retrieving channel data, and managing playlists. When integrated with Pipedream's serverless platform, this API can be part of automations that react to events, synchronize YouTube data with other services, or generate custom reports.

Trigger Code

import youtubeDataApi from "../../youtube_data_api.app.mjs";
import common from "./common.mjs";

export default {
  ...common,
  type: "source",
  key: "youtube_data_api-new-videos-by-location",
  name: "New Videos by Location",
  description: "Emit new event for each new YouTube video tied to a location.",
  version: "0.0.8",
  dedupe: "unique",
  props: {
    youtubeDataApi,
    ...common.props,
  },
};

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.

Locationlocationstring

The location parameter, in conjunction with the locationRadius parameter, defines a circular geographic area and also restricts a search to videos that specify, in their metadata, a geographic location that falls within that area. The parameter value is a string that specifies latitude/longitude coordinates e.g. 37.42307,-122.08427.

Location RadiuslocationRadiusstring

The parameter value must be a floating point number followed by a measurement unit. Valid measurement units are m, km, ft, and mi. For example, valid parameter values include 1500m, 5km, 10000ft, and 0.75mi. The API does not support locationRadius parameter values larger than 1000 kilometers.

Trigger Authentication

YouTube (Data API) uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your YouTube (Data API) account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into YouTube (Data API) and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any YouTube (Data API) API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

emailprofilehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.uploadhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube

About YouTube (Data API)

With the YouTube Data API, you can add a variety of YouTube features to your application. Use the API to upload videos, manage playlists and subscriptions, update channel settings, and more.

Teachable Overview

The Teachable API opens up possibilities for automating and enhancing online course interactions and management. Using Pipedream, you can weave together workflows that interact with Teachable events, users, and courses. You can automate enrollment processes, synchronize course data with external systems, and engage students with timely notifications. Pipedream's serverless platform lets you create these workflows with minimal setup, leveraging its ability to trigger actions based on Teachable events or on a schedule, and to integrate with hundreds of other apps.

Action Code

import teachable from "../../teachable.app.mjs";
import { ConfigurationError } from "@pipedream/platform";

export default {
  key: "teachable-create-student",
  name: "Create Student",

    },
    name: {

      label: "Password",
      description: "The password of the new user. Must be at least 6 characters. If no password is set, the student will be sent an email to set a password and confirm their account.",
      optional: true,
    },
  },
  async run({ $ }) {
    const { users } = await this.teachable.listUsers({
      params: {
        email: this.email,
      },
      $,
    });

    if (users?.length) {
      throw new ConfigurationError(`User with email ${this.email} already exists.`);
    }

    const student = await this.teachable.createStudent({
      data: {
        email: this.email,
        name: this.name,
        src: this.src,
        password: this.password,
      },
      $,
    });

    if (student.id) {
      $.export("$summary", `Successfully created student with ID ${student.id}.`);
    }

    return student;
  },
};

Action Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI.

LabelPropTypeDescription
TeachableteachableappThis component uses the Teachable app.
Emailemailstring

Email address of the student

Namenamestring

Name of the student

SRCsrcstring

The signup source of the user, Information tab of the user profile. SRC can also be used as a custom value when creating users in your school. For example, if you use any unique identifiers to help manage your users in multiple external systems (such as unique IDs, tags, etc.), you can use the src field to keep this identifier associated with your user in Teachable.

Passwordpasswordstring

The password of the new user. Must be at least 6 characters. If no password is set, the student will be sent an email to set a password and confirm their account.

Action Authentication

Teachable uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Teachable account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Teachable APIs in both code and no-code steps.

  1. From your school's Admin Dashboard, navigate to "Settings" > "API Keys"
  2. Click "Create API Key"
