Mixpanel (Service Account) ACTION
Aggregate Event Counts
Count how many times one or more events happened over a date range, bucketed by minute, hour, day, week, or month. This is the tool for ad-hoc questions such as "how many signups this week?" - it needs no report to be saved in Mixpanel first. If the answer should come from an Insights report someone already built, use Query Insights Report instead. See the documentation

IMPLEMENTATION
Call this tool
Connect a user's Mixpanel (Service Account) account once, then configure and run Aggregate Event Counts from your backend or agent.

Inputs
Pipedream supplies the connected account. Your application provides the operation-specific values below. Dynamic inputs are resolved against that user's account.
| Property | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
eventNames Event Names | string[] | One or more event names to count, exactly as they are tracked in Mixpanel (for example, Signed Up). Names are case-sensitive. Use List Events to discover them. Required |
analysisType Analysis Type | string | How the events are counted. Use unique to answer "how many users" and general to answer "how many times". Required |
unit Unit | string | The size of each bucket in the returned series. Note that hourly unique counts are not supported by Mixpanel. Required |
fromDate From Date | string | Start of the query window in YYYY-MM-DD format (for example, 2026-07-01). Inclusive, and interpreted in the project's timezone. Required |
toDate To Date | string | End of the query window in YYYY-MM-DD format (for example, 2026-07-29). Inclusive, and interpreted in the project's timezone. Required |
workspaceId Workspace ID | integer | The ID of the Data View to query. Only needed for projects that use Data Views; leave it empty otherwise. It is the segment after /view/ in a project URL such as https://mixpanel.com/project/1234/view/5678/app/boards. Optional |
