Is it possible to export a workflow from Pipedream and add it to another account?
Not yet, we have an open issue [FEATURE] Transfert/Migrate/Move/Export workflow ownership to a user/organization · Issue #5390 · PipedreamHQ/pipedream · GitHub. Please follow it for updates!
It seems to have been an open issue for about a year.
I noticed elsewhere that it was possible to copy/migrate all of the workflows to a new account. Is that correct?
If that’s the case I could copy all of my workflows and just delete the ones I don’t need from the new account.
We had a internal tool that migrated all workflows from one account to another, but after Projects got released, we have to revisit and adapt the tool
I’ll share this with the team
So the only way to do it is to manually copy it over for now?
By the way, did you find about the migration in the docs? Could you link me to it?
Yeah, apologize for the trouble
I guess it was talking about workflows and not projects. But this is what I was referring to:
Dang. Okay. Thanks for the response.
You can allow share individual workflows across accounts using Share Links:
Oh cool. And then I can delete it from the original account?
Nice, thanks Pierce. I always seem to forget about that
Yes, you can delete it from the original account after you’ve shared it. The copies are totally independent of each other.
The connected accounts , environment variables or data stores won’t be included. It will only copy the steps & code.
That’s all I need. Thanks very much!
Sure thing
Does it take a really long time to create the link? That ball’s been spinning for about an hour. I’ve restarted it a few times.
No it should be relatively quick. I just copied one myself and it was instant.
Is your workflow contain a large number of steps? Or very large blocks of code?
Both a lot of steps and a lot of blocks with code
The code is mostly just parsing scripts.
