Xero Certification

I’m trying to use the Xero app integration and noticed that the pipedream integration is an uncertified app. This is potentially problematic as you are limited to only two uncertified apps per organization. Additionally, it seems to use webhooks you have to create your own app in the xero i.e. another uncertified app.
Is this because I am only on a free plan? Seems odd that pipedream would be uncertified as they would quickly run into limits.
Also, is it possible to have pipedream create the webhook without having to create an additional app in Xero? It seems Make is able to do this.

Hi @jordanting,

I understand your concern about the uncertified app limitation with Xero. Pipedream’s Xero integration is indeed uncertified, and this is not related to your plan. The integration works the same way for all Pipedream users, regardless of their plan.

As for creating a webhook without having to create an additional app in Xero, Pipedream currently requires you to create your own app in Xero to set up the webhook. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hi Jordan,
We’re in the process of getting certified with Xero; this should not be a blocker once we are certified.

I’ll look into the webhook creation piece as well, but can you clarify which webhook you’re referring to that you are able to create in Make?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael, thanks for your reply.
So in Make, the webhook that it creates seems to fulfil what is described in the Xero article:

and listens to all events e.g. contact create/update and invoice create/update. But it could be created directly from the Make interface i.e. does not need to be created as an additional new app in the “My Apps” section of developer.xero.com
