Why is the Time Information Being Dropped from Due Dates in Google Tasks?

There’s a bug it seems with tasks with a due date and time in Google Tasks, the date appears to carry over to event.due, but the time is being dropped. For example:

That’s an unfortunate API limitation on Google’s end. Hopefully they will address that sooner than later
