Why Did My String Tokens Deplete Overnight From 20 Million to Zero and How Can This Problem Be Solved?

This topic was automatically generated from Slack. You can find the original thread here.

For some reason my tokens for string depleted overnight I had a total of 20 million but now for some reason it’s saying I’ve used 11 million I have zero remaining. Has anyone had this problem happened before and is there a solution?

Hi , could you send an email to support@pipedream.com with all relevant information? Pipedream Support should be able to help you there

Do you have an AI step in your agent workflow, like ChatGPT?

I have a step to call an open AI API

That OpenAI step also consumes AI tokens - the app name is openai_passthrough

Yes, but if I had a step to call my own Open AI API key that would not utilize the tokens from within Pipedream, correct?

Sure, you would need to change the app to openai and connect your own API key

I believe I did this but it’s possible I didn’t have to configure it right that’s why I had the missing tokens. But when using string it now says I only ever had less than what was originally purchased. Is there a way for me to see the full allocation of these tokens?

Makes sense, you would need to deploy the agent workflow to ensure the changes take effect

You can see your token allocation in your billing settings

Let me add 10M tokens to your workspace

Added :white_check_mark:

Be sure to change this asap so you use AI tokens to run the agent workflow

Wow, thanks!!

One last question… Really trying to learn how to automate as much as I can Is there any documentation or video tutorials that you’d recommend?

Check out our docs - Pipedream Docs - which is the platform where String builds the agent workflows

Learning Pipedream will help understand how String operates, builds, and runs the agent workflows
