Why Can't I Execute my Custom Tool via Connect API on my Current Pipedream Plan?

This topic was automatically generated from Slack. You can find the original thread here.

Afternoon!

Seeing this after trying to write my first custom tool in pipedream.

"Custom tools in Pipedream Connect require a paid plan. Your custom tool was published successfully, but execution via Connect API is not available on your current plan. Please upgrade your Pipedream plan or contact Pipedream sales. "

I’m on the pipedream connect tier; from my understanding this is something that should be included in my current usage plan? Happy to give more details as necessary.

Please let me know if there is someone I can talk to about getting this working / talk to sales if need be :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of your issue! Based on your message, it sounds like you’re on the Pipedream Connect plan and are seeing an error stating that custom tools in Pipedream Connect require a paid plan, and that execution via the Connect API is not available on your current plan. Here’s what you should know: - The Pipedream Connect plan is a paid plan that allows you to use and publish custom tools, and execute them via the Connect API. - If you’re seeing this message, it may be due to one of the following: - Your account is not currently recognized as being on the paid Connect plan (sometimes there can be a billing or account sync issue). - There may be a limitation or restriction specific to your account or workspace. - There could be a bug or misconfiguration. What you should do next: 1. Double-check your plan: Visit your Pipedream billing page to confirm that your workspace is on the Connect plan. 2. If you are on the Connect plan and still see this error: - This is likely an account-specific issue that Pipedream Support will need to resolve. - Please contact Pipedream Support directly for help: Support - Pipedream If you’d like to talk to someone from sales or support, or need this escalated, Support - Pipedream is the best way to get in touch with the right team. Sorry for the trouble! If you have any more details (like your workspace name, when you upgraded, or screenshots of your billing page), including those when you reach out to support will help them resolve this more quickly.

what hours do pipedream support operate? I’m GMT

Pipedream does not publicly list specific support hours in the available documentation. Support is provided via their request form at Support - Pipedream. If you need to reach someone or want to clarify response times or support availability in your time zone (GMT), it’s best to submit your question through that form. If you are a Business or Enterprise customer, you may have access to dedicated support and an SLA. If you need urgent help or want to discuss support hours, please visit Support - Pipedream.

Can you double check that you’re authenticated with the workspace that is on the Connect plan (and not another free tier workspace)?

Your ticket has been received and will be responded to as soon as possible.
