Why Can't I Connect Salesforce OAuth Despite Assigning the Right Permissions?

I can’t seem to connect Salesforce OAuth

We can't authorize you because of an OAuth error. For more information, contact your Salesforce administrator.

OAUTH_APPROVAL_ERROR_GENERIC : An unexpected error has occured during authentication. Please try again.

The URL has a little more info:
RemoteAccessErrorPage.apexp?error=invalid_client&error_description=app+must+be+installed+into+org

I suspect this may be related to the Connected App Usage Restriction rolling out on the Salesforce side Sep 2025

Anybody else had any success here? I’m trying to assign the right permissions on the Salesforce side, but I’m running into issues. This is probably more a Salesforce config issue + Pipedream documentation thing at this point, but not sure if anybody else has solved it.

:bulb: I was able to create a Permission Set to grant Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps.

However, Match Production Licenses had to be used in my existing sandbox before this would actually work. Before that, it wouldn’t allow me to assign the Permission Set to any users.

I am facing same issue, although i created Permission set with these permissions. Anybody can help here please. Thank you
