Why Can't I Connect My Google Admin Account and Why Does It Say "This App is Blocked"?

I wasted so many tokens on trying to add this, is there anyway I can get these back?

cc can you help here?

For sure, what is your workspace ID?

Or name

Oh sorry, that’s not what I was looking for. Could you visit Pipedream - Connect APIs, AI, databases and more and there you’ll find it

I added some AI tokens there!

Thanks

Appreciate the bug report

No problem! Quick question: about how long do you estimate it taking for the bug to be fixed?

Not sure, tough to give an ETA for this type of issue, there will be some back and forth required with Google to get our OAuth client approved.

Ok no problem

Hey (cc @U02A06JPKEH @URV1X5N2H), I managed to get the Pipedream Google Workspace Admin app working with email outside of @pipedream.com.

Apparently, you need to manually allow Pipedream API Access in your Google Workspace Admin console, here’re the steps:

  1. Navigate to App Access Control: Click this link to go directly to the correct page in your Google Admin Console: https://admin.google.com/ac/owl/list?tab=configuredApps
  2. Add a New App: Click “Configure new app”.
  3. Search for Pipedream’s Client ID: In the search box that appears, paste the following Client ID for Pipedream and click “Search”: [516759972233-noq227c92gu5oftd4k452dbl2okqbofd.apps.googleusercontent.com](http://516759972233-noq227c92gu5oftd4k452dbl2okqbofd.apps.googleusercontent.com)
  4. Select the App: The Pipedream app will appear. Select it and click “Select”.
  5. Confirm the Selection: Check the box for the Client ID you just added, and then click “Select” again.
  6. Configure Scope: Choose the option “All in Your Company Name (all users)“/”Select org units” and click “Continue”.
  7. Configure Access: Choose the option “Trusted” or “Specific Google data” and click “Continue”.
  8. Review and Finish: Review your configuration and click Finish
Once these steps are completed, you should be able to go back and successfully connect your account.

I’ll add those steps to Pipedream’s Google Workspace Admin for future users as well.

Great job !

If client id can be configured in gcp then very likely users will be able to set up via BYOA too
