What is the Best Way to Report Issues with Calendly at the Org Admin Level?

and team, first of all just wanted to say hi to everyone, bummed I missed the BR event! Second, how/where is the best way to report issues? We are running into a problem getting “Calendly” at the Org admin level to show us a list of events, just stuck in “Waiting for Events”

Hey, how’s it going? What’s the BR event?

The Waiting for Events and Action Required messages mean that you’d have to trigger an event in Calendly, in this case create an invitee

Then it should trigger the Pipedream source and let you select the event

Btw, here is fine to report issues or also Support - Pipedream

:+1: (BR event was BrightRoll event as I used to work with many Pipedreamers :slightly_smiling_face: )

Thanks for the help we will test that out and revert back

Looks like the events populated so we are unblocked, thanks

Awesome, glad to hear!

Hey Josh! Sadly I missed it also, but I heard it was a good time!

Btw, I’m curious if you have ideas on how we can improve this flow for other folks — obviously getting a test event from your trigger so you can build out your workflow is incredibly helpful. We’ve added static sample events to many triggers, but not all, which help show you the event shape with fake data.

But nothing is more helpful than a real event that you generate in the app. It seems like you thought something was functionally broken here, right? What was your expectation?

the easiest thing would be to make it more clear that it has to be triggered by the user (outside of pipedream) in order to be detected. “Waiting for events” is helpful but also a bit hard to know what it means in the context of setting up the flow. We expected a button to be enabled to allow us to “generate” it. It’s obvious after the fact but was lightly confusing when I was showing my co-worker how to set it up. Mainly because other things like Jira already had events generated. (didn’t realize the timing was just right that something had happened in Jira to create this)

So yeah maybe just a light bulb bubble or some other text that says, “You will need to generate the event in in order to populate this list”

Yea, we’ve also built some triggers to go fetch N recent events when you deploy the trigger, but either we aren’t doing that in this one or maybe there aren’t historical events to fetch

I wasn’t sure, it just seemed like it wasn’t working correctly because the other workflows I had built had triggers already do it so the list had something to choose from

Yep, you aren’t alone in this one, makes total sense. Thanks for the feedback and welcome back to PD! :slightly_smiling_face:
