Welcome to the Pipedream Community! Introduce yourself below

My name is Chris, very new to webhooks and cannot make sense of all the examples I see (stupid or lazy, I guess).
I made a webhook, placed the url in a page to which I listen to. I see the events coming on Pipedream. But I not understand how to get the body of the json on my laptop to store, work on it, etc.

My name is Ricardo Hernández I’m from Mexico City. I did a lot of research and projects about network security but now I’m back-end developer. My 2 favorite programming languages are python and javascript. I’m very happy to contribute with all that I can with Pipedream

Hey, everyone. I’m Shawn and have been developing web apps for over twenty years. I’ve been leading teams since 2014 and am currently the CTO of Wrapmate. I heard about Pipedream through the blog posts of a friend of mine over at Adobe, Ray Camden.

We depend on a hefty amount of automation at Wrapmate and although the broad majority of it is either in Hubspot Workflows or Zapier, I recently hit a snag that neither could solve, and Pipedream elegantly solved the issue. I look forward to exploring more of it in the weeks and months to come!

Hi @shawn-wm welcome to the community! Happy to have you here

Please let us know what you think! We just released our Pipedream University series to get started learning the basics of workflow building up to custom component development.

Would love your feedback on the product and system.

We hope you and your team get value out of low-code workflows!

Hello Everyone👋. I’ve been using pipedream to create several workflows the past month and I love this tool! Also looking forward to start contributing.

Professionally, I lead the community efforts at Aviyel, an organization that’s building a platform for everything open source. Looking forward to feature pipedream’s story on the platform if I am able to catch the founder’s attention here :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks @pierce! Just dropped a reply. Looking forward to discussing more :grinning:

Hi Everyone! I’m Nancy! I’m a post (production) coordinator who dabbles in code. I’m hoping to use pipedream for streamlining some workflows between Frame dot io and airtable dot com! So far its been baby steps, but they’re good! I am looking forward to watching all the Pipedream University videos! Happy to be here.

Hi @post3,

First off, welcome to the Pipedream community. Happy to have you!

That is super cool, as you can probably tell I’m into video as well

If there are any components you need built for Framer, please feel free to contribute them or request to have them built here.

And if you have any feedback on the University videos, happy to hear it! Hoping they help you get building.

Hello everyone!

I’m Eric. I’m a professional tech lead located in Brazil.

Found PD while looking for alternatives for webhook.site which, for still-unexplainable reasons (IPs, I’m looking at you) was unavailable when (and only when) accessing from home.
At first, I was pushed away from PD because it seemed like it was too much to fit a simple inspect-and-debug-webhooks workflow. Took my time to see what you guys had to offer, and have been hooked ever since - it’s been half a year already

Right now, I’m using PD for small, fully-fledged API & Data store (BTW: masterstroke with launching that ) flows we’d be spending precious (human-) resources in building.

Keep on rocking!

Hey everyone!

My name is Anthony, I am a tech lead & an indie hacker located in Turkey, Antalya. I am bootstrapping ScrapeNinja.net cloud scraping API now.

I have recently discovered Pipedream while I was seeking for a way to run ScrapeNinja web scrapers in low code environments, and instantly fell in love. Before this, I have been trying to integrate Zapier, Integromat, IFTTT, n8n into my life, but it was Pipedream that fitted into my workflow so nicely due to my background (lazy software developer, who knows how to write JS code, and wants to write less JS code). I love how Pipedream does not hide the complexity under abstractions and strictly visual tools, and allows to write good old JS, still providing me plenty of ways to cut corners when building PD workflows.

ScrapeNinja runs user-written JS code in a cloud, pretty much like Pipedream, and this is a very exciting engineering challenge which I would be happy to discuss with Pipedream team if they have a chance.
This is my writeup on this topic: Running untrusted JavaScript in Node.js

Hi @restyler

So glad to hear you were able to build with Pipedream so quickly. That’s exactly what we aim for - the ultimate workflow building platform for developers. No code actions and triggers for speed, but the flexibility of code when you need it.

We’ve just added an integration for ScrapeNinja - https://pipedream.com/apps/scrapeninja

You can now publish Pipedream components for it. We’d be happy to merge in your components so your customers can get up and running using ScrapingNinja without code.

Whoa thank you @pierce this was fast!
I appreciate it, I will definitely consider the option of publishing my components for Pipedream.

Cheers,
Anthony

I wanted to turn on/off some philips hue electricity plugs based on electricity prices. I’m happy to have found pipedream where the boring stuff like authentication is taken care off. And I can code whatever I want. Before this I had a mix of integromat/homey but it was a lot of flows and a struggle to stay below the limits. Then homey just turned ‘premium’ all of the sudden so I had to look for something else. The cool thing now I can program things like ‘turn on the washing machine on the 3 cheapest adjacent hours’. Something impossible to do without some coding.

Hi all, I first got introduced to RPA when using IFTTT, later moved to Zapier, and am now discovering this.
Been trying to land a new keyboard “Moonlander”, so I wanted Reddit’s /r/mechmarket to text me as soon as someone posts there.
That kind of thing is actually how I first got introduced into the RPA world, back when IFTTT played nice with Craigslist.
Looking forward to getting to explore more here!

Hello All,

I’m still in the Aww phase in regards to pipedream! I work as a Software developer and mainly focus on optimizing existing business processes. What Pipedream offers is, nothing short of science fiction. Looking forward to what you have in store and just completely amazed by the capability of this platform!

Hi everyone,

I’m new to all of this, I’m a creative director in an immersive theater company called Dream Factory. I’ve always been an avid consumer, and fascinated by video games, tech and the power it provides to individuals.

As a passion project, I want to build an automated pipeline that parses content, analyze them thanks to LLM and ML and store the raw content, the analyzed data and metadata in a Notion database to act as a Second Brain.

For now, I asked ChatGPT4 (web beta) for help, but the results are disappointing (for now).

I’m here to learn
