Understanding Pipedream SDK Pricing Model: Does Each Trigger/Action Count as a Workflow and What Happens if 1000 Connected Accounts Are Exceeded?

Hi all,

Have an issue in understanding the pricing model.

I am on basic plan and use pipedream sdk for triggers and actions.

Q1 : Will every trigger/action be counted as a workflow ? As in if I send an email using pipedream sdk, will that we counted as 1 workflow ?
Q2 : What if we exceed the 1000 connected accounts, in that scenario what’s the pricing beyond that ?

Hi , I’ll proxy your question to our bot Pi to see if it can effectively answer

@U05A7KLNALC Hi all,

You should visit Pricing - Pipedream for the latest pricing, but I’ll do my best to answer. ### Q1: Will every trigger/action be counted as a workflow? A workflow in Pipedream is composed of a trigger and a series of actions. Each workflow can have multiple triggers and actions, but it is counted as a single workflow. Sending an email using the Pipedream SDK within a workflow does not count as a separate workflow; it is part of the existing workflow. ### Q2: What if we exceed the 1,000 connected accounts? The Basic plan includes support for managing authentication for up to 1,000 connected accounts. If you exceed this limit, you would need to contact Pipedream Sales for custom limits and pricing. They offer options for scaling usage beyond the standard limits provided in the Basic plan. You can reach out to them through the Pipedream pricing page for more details.

Got it.

We just subscribed to basic plan and running into this error.

“error”: “The component API is not available on your current plan. Visit pipedream.com/pricing to contact our sales team.”

Hi , I believe you’re trying to use the action from a Premium app, which require the Advanced plan

I’m using gmail, that is not premium.

Sorry for the confusion, we’re working on updating the pricing page now to make it more clear, but using Connect in production requires either the Connect Starter plan or Business.

Connect Starter is $150/month and includes 100 users and 10k credits.

We cannot use pipedream connect and sdk’s in basic plan ?

Is it not available in the advanced plan as well ?

Let me reach out to sales.

PS : It would be great if you’ll can have a calendly for people on paid plans.

Hi Dheeraj - was sending an email but will just respond here.

No. Connect is not available on the self service subscriptions.

Those are oriented around our workflow product, which is a solution for building internal automations.

Connect is a different product with different pricing. It is currently listed on the pricing page as requiring a Business plan subscription but we have been offering a lower cost entry point as Danny highlighted above.

It starts at $150/month and includes 100 connected users and 10k monthly credits.

Additional users are $2/month per user.

A connected user represents a user with one or more active auth connections being managed.

Got it. Can we connect over a call. Wanted to understand few things around api triggers as well.

Also I hope there’s a way we can upgrade from the basic we bought today to business plan.

Yup just sent you a DM
