Shopify New Order Trigger Not Displaying Orders in Workflow: What Should I Do?

Havin a question/bug about the Shopify new order trigger. When I create a new workflow and connect a Shopify store the orders are not showing up. It keeps saying waiting for events. The store has enough orders. Also in the past hour. Is there something extra I should do?

Hi , have you try clicking into the Try Now button?

Yes :slightly_smiling_face:

If I request other information from the store. Like ‘updated customers’ then it retrieves events. There seems to go something wrong with specific the new order trigger.

Okay let me try to reproduce then get back to you

Thank you

Hi , I can receive order fine on my side. Could you try to access your sources page, access your Shopify source, then share your source log?

Thank you. The log tab stays completely empty

For update customers it shoes this

that’s quite weird. May I ask if you’re the account owner of that shopift page?

Nope, i have access to it threw a shopify partner account

Can that be the case?

Also if i do

pd events -n 10 [source id]

i got an empty result back.

Hi , apologize for the late response. I think using Shopify Partner account maybe the issue. Sorry I’m not familiar with Shopify, may I ask why do you need to use Shopify Partner Account, can you use normal Shopify account with Shopify app (since I have tesed it working with this setup)?

no worries. Shopify partner accounts are used to give agency access to the project of a client. Last month this was just working fine for the stage environment (also owned by the client). I will try to test it tomorrow again.

I tried a fresh store with new created orders and a new pipedream account. And stil it’s not working. It keeps loading. Do you have another tip about what i can try?

The logs are still empty

, may I ask which steps you have taken? For example, you create a new Shopify account, create a new shop, connect it with Pipedream, etc…

Sure.

  1. Create a new Shopify store in our partner dashboard.
  2. Enable the bogus gateway to process test orders: Placing a test order · Shopify Help Center
  3. Place some test orders
  4. In pipedream create a new workflow
  5. User the ‘Shopify new order’ trigger
  6. Connect a shopify account in the trigger
  7. Now Pipedream should recieve orders as events from my Shopify store. But it keeps loading.

Note that a month a go I was testing with Pipedream script on a stage store. Back then the connection worked fine. But stage has now the same problem.
