And example from my own little server. The Pipedream bot doesn’t have the admin permissions, however it does have the permission to manage webhooks.
Now, if I delete the webhook below, and trigger the ‘send message’ from the PD website, it re-creates it’s webhook:

Hi Iarek, just to reiterate, you do not currently have admin privileges on this Discord server you’re trying to install the Pipedream integration on?

I have admin privileges, but I’m not the owner

I see. The manage messages permission is denied from that screenshot. That might be worth looking into.

Right, so the screenshot above is for Pipedream bot that works.
BUT it’s on a server where I’m an owner, and I gave Pipedream a limited role botnya
seen in the screenshot. This all works fine.
What doesn’t work:
- Virtually the same setup for the Pipedream bot (see screenshot below).
- But I’m not an owner on this server.
- Pipedream control panel reports error 404 trying to send messages to this server.

Basically something about the setup of the second server prevents the bot from creating its webhook

Sorry, I don’t think it would be possible to support your use case on the 2nd server without the capability to register the webhook

But alternatively you can register your own bot and then use a Pipedream workflows webhook to initate it

That’s fair, thank you ! Looks like I’m building my own bot over the weekend
