Hi, I have a large amount of business essential workflows that live in an account with a Pro membership that I’m not able to share with other team members.
I also set up a workspace but it didn’t transfer my workflows or pro plan to that workspace. I can invite other users to this workspace.
I need to transfer all the workflows to a workspace where my coworkers can have access but I cannot risk losing any workflows or having any of the api endpoint urls change because they’re being used in production. I’m seeing this option in the “danger zone”:
"Transfer Ownership
Transfer this account to a workspace where you are a member.
Once you transfer ownership of your account, there is no going back. Please be certain."
Basically, I’m not certain can anyone let me know the best course of action to make sure I can give my coworkers access and shared admin access to these workflows without losing any of my work or changing endpoints that are currently in production?
It’s a valid question! That transfer option will transfer all resources in your current user account to the target workspace: workflows, connected accounts, environment variables, and more. HTTP endpoints and everything about the workflows will remain the same, the workspace will just own the resources.
Let us know if you have any other questions about the transfer - happy to help.
Thanks Dylan! My follow up question is… how is it handled that my single user account is currently paid “Professional” plan and my workspace plan is the free plan? Should I create a professional plan on the workspace first and then transfer and then cancel the pro plan on the original account?
The Professional plan is a legacy plan, but take a look at https://pipedream.com/pricing to see what works best for your team. And yes, I’d recommend upgrading to a paid plan for the workspace to ensure you hit no limits, then migrate your workflows.
Once you complete the migration, please send an email to support@pipedream.com if you don’t mind, and I’ll cancel your Professional Plan and refund you the most-recent payment so you’re not paying any extra for this month as you transition.
