We recently integrated Pipedream into a relatively lean automation stack at Funnelsflex, mainly to handle event-driven workflows between internal tools and external APIs.
One thing that stood out early was how much faster iteration became once we moved lightweight glue logic into Pipedream instead of overloading our core app or relying on heavier orchestration. Using native triggers and short, focused steps helped keep workflows readable and easier to debug.
A key lesson was to be disciplined about scope. Pipedream works best when it’s used as an integration and automation layer, not as a replacement for core business logic. We also found that clear naming, versioning, and logging are critical once workflows move beyond simple prototypes.
Curious how others here structure Pipedream in production—especially around error handling and long-term maintainability in smaller stacks.
