"Is There a Way to Pull Up the Name of the Uploader for a File in Google Drive?"

Hello, I’m not sure if there is already a way to achieve it here or this feature needs to be added but is there a way to pull up the name of the one that uploaded the file in Google Drive? My use case is I want a webhook to Discord whenever there’s a new file change/upload on my Google Drive folder. Since this is a shared folder, it’d be best if I can have it in this format:

File type: jpeg
File name: Lorem-ipsum232.jpg
Date of upload: January 25, 2023 - 8:04AM PHT
Uploaded by: John Doe (johndoe@gmail.com)

Is it possible? Thank you!

Hi Julius, great question. I’m not sure if the Google Drive API provides identity of the account that’s performing an action like creating a file or updating a file.

You can add your request here:

, thanks for the response. I was able to do this with Integromat. Not that I’m comparing but perhaps that could answer your question about GDrive API :slightly_smiling_face:

submitted a feature!
