Hey team,
Noticed that Pipedream’s Slack integration isn’t approved by Slack. Is there a reason for this?

Hey team,

I’m sure it has been approved before. I’ve seen they tackled changes and bugs via Github tickets, so my guess is that because of these changes the approval was revoked. PD team directly should know for sure.
Unfortunately, Slack has said they don’t approve apps that allow users to write code against the Slack API. They say our Slack Bot integration — which accepts a static bot token for your own custom bot — violates that policy, so they won’t approve our public Slack app. We pushed back on this since there are many other integration apps that have approved, public apps and have a similar interface for accepting bot tokens.
Is this blocking you? I can raise with the team again to see if we can try again.
I am interested in using the Slack integration, but my workspace doesn’t approve for app installations without administrator approval. So, this is currently blocking me.
We are working with the Slack team regarding this. I’m unable to give an ETA though
Okay, no problem. Good to know that you are working with the Slack team though.
