Sergey Batishchev : Hey, is there a way to download/backup the workflows and actions that I build with Pipedream?
Tod Sacerdoti : sergey - by backup are you referring to the workflow code or data?
Sergey Batishchev : Primarily custom code steps and custom actions. Also declarative workflow setup (all the parameters, etc), although it is easier to restore. I am less concerned about persistent workflow state (checkpoint, etc).
Basically, I wonder if I can backup what I am building with pipedream just in case I ever lose access or my workflows/actions are lost for whatever reason. Similar to how “Google Takeout” works.
Tod Sacerdoti : There isn’t a way to do this today but i added the feature to our backlog. You can upvote here to get updates - [FEATURE] Download/backup the workflows and actions · Issue #502 · PipedreamHQ/pipedream · GitHub. Also, we are discussing ways to store workflows and actions in Github which would also address part of your use case.
Sergey Batishchev : Good to hear that. Actually, storing worflows and actions in github should solve 100% of my usecase. If workflow is available in JSON or something similar, the possibilities are mind boggling.
