how can I change my Pipedream account email address? At the moment it says it’s managed by Google and I can’t seem to be able to change it. I have reset password and chose a new password for myself, so I can login also without Google, but the option to change email seems still disabled.
To change your Pipedream account email address, you typically update it in your Account Settings. However, if your account was originally created using Google login, your email is managed by Google, and the option to change your email directly in Pipedream may be disabled. Here’s what you can do: 1. If the option is disabled: Since your account is managed by Google, Pipedream uses the email address associated with your Google account. Changing your email in Pipedream directly isn’t possible while it’s linked to Google authentication. 2. If you’ve set a password: Even after setting a password (so you can log in without Google), the email address remains tied to your original Google account. The ability to change the email address is still restricted. 3. What are your options? - If you want to use a different email, you may need to create a new Pipedream account with that email. - If you need to transfer workflows or data, you can export/import workflows between accounts. - For system emails, you cannot change the login email if it’s managed by Google. - For marketing emails, you can reach out to the Pipedream team to update your marketing email address. 4. Need further help? If you have specific needs (like transferring ownership or unlinking Google), please contact Pipedream Support for assistance: PipedreamReference: - Pipedream Account Email Change Docs If you have more questions or need help with your specific situation, please reach out to Pipedream Support directly.
What happens if I change the associated Google account email address? Would this break the link between my Pipedream account and my Google identity? I don’t want to lose access to my account.
If your Pipedream account is linked to your Google account for authentication, changing your Google account’s email address can affect your ability to log in to Pipedream: - If you change your Google account email: Pipedream relies on the email address provided by Google for authentication. If the email address on your Google account changes and no longer matches the email Pipedream expects, you may not be able to log in using Google. This is especially important if your organization uses Google Workspace SSO, as noted in the Pipedream SSO documentation: > If a user’s Pipedream email does not match the email in their Google profile, they will not be able to log in. - If you have set a password for direct login: You may still be able to log in with your email and password, but your Pipedream account email will remain the original one unless you update it in your Account Settings. However, if your account is still managed by Google, the option to change your email in Pipedream may be disabled. Recommendation: - Before changing your Google account’s email, make sure your Pipedream account email matches the new Google email, or update your Pipedream login method (e.g., set a password and use direct login). - If you are part of a workspace using SSO, ensure your Pipedream and Google emails always match. - If you are unsure or want to avoid losing access, contact Pipedream Support before making changes. Summary: Changing your Google account email can break the link with your Pipedream account and may prevent you from logging in. To avoid losing access, coordinate any changes with Pipedream support and ensure your emails match.
