David Treves - GetAutomated.io : hi, apologies if this was asked before - I’m using PD for a bit of time now to see how it works, and work out how I can use it in some upcoming projects. So far I’m very impressed and see the value it gives me, when comparing it with no code platforms on one side and also with pure dev to achieve the same on the other side.
But before I commit to PD and confidently offer my services, knowing the solution will rely on PD, where can I read about the platform, its infrastructure, your company, plans, roadmap, support services and so on? I guess what I’m asking for is simple - help me become more confident in relying on PD.
Dylan Sather (Pipedream) : Hi , all great questions. I’ll share a few resources / links, but I’m happy to answer more specific questions if you have them.
Our docs are a good place to start with answering some of these questions. You can read about our plans / pricing (which contains information on support), and more about our infra in our security docs.
We don’t operate a fully public roadmap, but we track all requests for features, app integrations, and related work on Github. We aim to be very customer-focused and responsive to these requests - I hope reading this Slack has given you a sense of that.
We are a team of 8, and worked together for roughly 6 years at BrightRoll - we were all a part of the senior product and engineering team there. BrightRoll operated a high volume advertising marketplace, and we collectively developed expertise in high-throughout pipelines during that time. We sold BrightRoll to Yahoo! for $640MM in 2014. You can read more about us and our experience here.
We launched Pipedream itself in October of 2019 and serve over 100,000 developers.
If there’s anything specific you’d like to know that isn’t in these docs / links, I’m happy to add it!
David Treves - GetAutomated.io : I actually asked a similar question in an Israeli forum. Maybe you’re referring to that? Either way, I think these are important questions for anyone who considers a long term relationship with pipedream or any partner they’ll rely on with their solutions to their clients.
