Did Recent Changes in Outlook MCP from Pipedream Require Admin Approval for Connection?

Hi, recently, when using Outlook MCP from Pipedream to connect my Outlook account, I couldn’t connect directly anymore — it now requires admin approval. Is this a recent change we made? It didn’t require this before.

Hey , thank you for reaching out.

We’ll check and get back to you soon

Thank you so much!

Hey , we’ve made an update on our side.

Could you please try again one more time? Thanks.

Hi , just take a try, still need admin approval, for personal email it won’t need, but for the organization email, it will need the organization admin approval.

Hey ,

but for the organization email, it will need the organization admin approval.
Yes I think this makes sense. Other apps (such as Slack, Teams, etc…), also require workspace admin to approve (a.k.a install the app) as well.

You will need to ask your admin to approve the app first

Got it, but It didn’t require this few days ago. So my clients are confused, and asking why this happen.

Do we have a statement or release note for this modification? so I can forward it to my clients.

Hmm. Okay, we’ve made another change. Could you please test again one more time?

Awesome, it works, won’t need admin approval any more, thank you so much . :+1:

Got it. Thanks for confirming
