Ricky : OK, I switched networks and have no ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED console warnings, but I am still getting the same message
Dan Hsiung : Are you able to view this page (substituting your_workspace
for your slack domain)? https://your_workspace.slack.com/apps/manage/permissions
Ricky : Only Workspace Owners can view this page
Dan Hsiung : Ok. There are two settings on that page that could be the problem. One allows workspace owners to specify apps that are allowed to be installed. The other prevents anyone from installing apps that aren’t listed in the slack app directory (which we have yet to do).
Ricky : OK, I think I may have found the issue.
Ricky : and it’s a slack login issue (not on pipedream’s side)
Ricky : OK, I was having a caching issue with the login credentials
Ricky : now my message is this
Ricky : so, we are good to go, I believe
Ricky : thanks for all the help! sorry for all the trouble
Ricky : I owe you a beer
Dan Hsiung : Got it. No worries. We’ll let you know when our app is added to the directory. Thanks for figuring this out!
@dan Is there an update on the app being added to the directory?
@HaydenM I followed up with the team on this. We discussed this a couple of weeks ago and there’s still work required for us to ship the app to the App Directory, but it’s on our radar. We’re tracking here if you’d like to follow.
Is this also blocking you from using the Pipedream Slack app in your workspace, or are you seeing another issue?
@dylburger Thanks for following up. Yes this is blocking us from using Pipedream in our Slack Workspace. A Workspace owner disabled the Only allow apps from the Slack App Directory
setting, which allowed me to request to install the Pipedream app.
The Workspace owner did not receive the notification from the app install request. I believe this is likely something Slack needs to help fix before we can finish installing the Pipedream Slack App.
