About Lindy

Lindy lets anyone build AI assistants in minutes to automate their workflows — from handling emails and scheduling meetings to managing CRM records, customer support, and outreach.

Their mission is to make work disappear by empowering teams to delegate entire workflows to AI.

But for these AI employees to truly work, they need to integrate deeply with the tools their users already rely on — email, CRMs, messaging platforms, and more.

“AI agents are only as good as the integrations they have. That’s the whole thesis of Lindy.”
Flo Crivello, CEO, Lindy

From the beginning, Lindy invested heavily in integration development — but after years of effort, they were still falling short of customer expectations. Then they found Pipedream.

The Problem

Lindy’s AI agents are only as useful as the apps they can connect to — but building those integrations in-house was slow, painful, and costly.

“Time is the enemy of every deal. There’s a massive difference between saying ‘yes, we can do it right now’ and ‘we’ll build it next week.’ Even just a one-week delay kills the deal 90% of the time.”

Missing integrations didn’t just create friction — they lost them business. When a prospect asked for a specific integration, the Lindy team had to choose between dropping everything to build it or watching the opportunity slip away.

But scrambling to build one-off integrations came with real tradeoffs. Each new integration required a developer to:

  • Learn a new API from scratch
  • Register and configure a new OAuth application (often a multi-day approval process)
  • Navigate private or gated APIs that required special access
  • Handle authentication, error handling, rate limits, and edge cases

All of that engineering effort came at the expense of core product development. Time spent wiring up third-party APIs meant time not spent improving Lindy’s core agent experience.

“We’ve spent over $1M  building about 250 integrations over the past 2 years. And now, with Pipedream, we’re immediately offering 2,500.

They needed a way to scale integrations rapidly without scaling engineering costs.

The Solution

With Pipedream Connect, Lindy was able to instantly offer over 2,500 integrations, turning integrations from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage.

Two things made this possible:

  • Pre-approved OAuth clients: Instead of registering new OAuth apps and waiting on approvals, Lindy used Pipedream’s pre-approved clients to immediately support hundreds of applications — no delay, no friction.
  • 7,000+ production-ready actions: Pipedream gave Lindy access to thousands of API actions across popular tools, from sending messages in Discord to creating records in Salesforce. These actions work out of the box, complete with dynamic fields and async support.

This depth of coverage was critical for real-world use cases. Where other platforms focused on authentication alone, Pipedream handled the full surface area — including the async flows required for reliable agent behavior.

“Other tools focused on auth, but stopped short of real API coverage. You guys actually handle the full surface area — including things like dynamic dropdowns and async steps — which are essential for real-world integrations. Pipedream has clearly built the machine that builds integrations. It’s a well-oiled factory — and it shows.”

With Connect powering the backend, Lindy didn’t just add more integrations — they reclaimed engineering focus, unlocked faster sales cycles, and positioned themselves as the most integrated AI agent platform on the market.
