The Namecheap API provides a suite of functions to automate domain management tasks, enabling you to register, configure, and manage domains programmatically. With Pipedream's integration, you can create workflows that react to specific events or schedule domain-related operations, streamlining processes like domain registration, DNS management, and domain renewal reminders. Authentication#
Namecheap uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Namecheap account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Namecheap APIs in both code and no-code steps.
Namecheap requires their users enter their Namecheap username in order to connect to their API. For more info, refer to Namecheap’s documentation.
To retrieve your API key,
- Navigate to your Namecheap and sign in
- Go to “Profile” > “Tools” > “Business & Dev Tools”
- Click “Profile” under “Namecheap API Access”
