Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Twist Overview

With the Twist API, you can easily create an unlimited range of applications,
tools and integrations that work with the Twist platform. Whether you're
looking to build a bot, a custom integration, or an app to visualize data, the
Twist API offers the flexibility you need to turn your ideas into reality.

The following is a list of examples of what you can build with the Twist API:

  • Custom bots that can automate simple tasks and interact with users in real
    time, providing valuable feedback and information
  • Integrations that allow you to easily sync data from external sources
  • An app to visualize data from the Twist system in a variety of ways
  • Custom notifications that alert users when specific events occur
  • Automated workflows to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Reports to keep track of key performance metrics
  • Custom dashboards to easily monitor the health of your organization
  • A tool to generate customer insights from Twist conversations
  • A tool to quickly search for specific messages and conversations across
    multiple channels
  • Connectors to allow users to easily post messages from 3rd party applications
  • And much more!

Trigger Code

const twist = require("../../twist.app.js");
const common = require("../common.js");

module.exports = {
  ...common,
  name: "New Channel (Instant)",
  version: "0.0.1",
  key: "twist-new-channel",
  description: "Emits an event for any new channel added in a workspace",
  methods: {
    getHookActivationData() {
      return {
        target_url: this.http.endpoint,
        event: "channel_added",
        workspace_id: this.workspace,
      };
    },
    getMeta(body) {
      const { id, name, created_ts } = body;
      return {
        id,
        summary: name,
        ts: Date.parse(created_ts),
      };
    },
  },
};

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.
LabelPropTypeDescription
TwisttwistappThis component uses the Twist app.
N/Adb$.service.dbThis component uses $.service.db to maintain state between executions.
N/Ahttp$.interface.httpThis component uses $.interface.http to generate a unique URL when the component is first instantiated. Each request to the URL will trigger the run() method of the component.
WorkspaceworkspacestringSelect a value from the drop down menu.

Trigger Authentication

Twist uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Twist account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Twist and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Twist API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

user:writeuser:readworkspaces:writeworkspaces:readchannels:removechannels:writechannels:readthreads:removethreads:writethreads:readcomments:removecomments:writecomments:readgroups:removegroups:writegroups:readmessages:removemessages:writemessages:readreactions:removereactions:writereactions:readsearch:readattachments:writeattachments:readnotifications:writenotifications:read

Action

Description:Customize advanced setttings and send a message to a channel, group or user. See [postMessage](https://api.slack.com/methods/chat.postMessage) or [scheduleMessage](https://api.slack.com/methods/chat.scheduleMessage) docs here
Version:0.2.17
Key:slack-send-custom-message

Slack Overview

The Pipedream Slack app enables you to build event-driven workflows that interact with the Slack API. When you authorize the Pipedream app's access to your workspace, you can use Pipedream workflows to perform common Slack actions, or write your own code against the Slack API.

The Pipedream Slack app is not a typical app. You don't interact with it directly as a bot, and it doesn't add custom functionality to your workspace out of the box. It makes it easier to automate anything you'd typically use the Slack API for, using Pipedream workflows.

  • Automate posting updates to your team channels
  • Create a bot to answer common questions
  • Integrate with your existing tools and services
  • And much more!
