Getting Started

This integration creates a workflow with a MongoDB trigger and SWAPI - Star Wars action. When you configure and deploy the workflow, it will run on Pipedream's servers 24x7 for free.

  1. Select this integration
  2. Configure the New Document trigger
    1. Connect your MongoDB account
    2. Configure Polling Interval
    3. Select a Database
    4. Select a Collection
  3. Configure the Get Film action
    1. Connect your SWAPI - Star Wars account
    2. Select a film
  4. Deploy the workflow
  5. Send a test event to validate your setup
  6. Turn on the trigger

Details

This integration uses pre-built, open source components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

MongoDB Overview

Assuming you want a few paragraph about the MongoDB API:

MongoDB offers a powerful API that allows developers to interact with their
databases in a variety of ways. The API provides methods for performing
standard CRUD (create, read, update, delete) operations, as well as more
specialized methods like bulk write operations and aggregate queries. MongoDB
also offers a rich set of indexing options that allow developers to optimize
their queries for maximum performance. With the MongoDB API, developers can
build a wide variety of applications, from simple data-driven apps to complex
event-driven systems.

Trigger Code

import common from "../common/base.mjs";

export default {
  ...common,
  key: "mongodb-new-document",
  name: "New Document",
  description: "Emit new an event when a new document is added to a collection",

    },

        this.emitEvent(doc, ts);

Trigger Authentication

MongoDB uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your MongoDB account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to MongoDB APIs in both code and no-code steps.

Before you connect to your Mongo database from Pipedream, please make sure your database is accessible from the public internet. You may need to add a firewall rule allowing connections from 0.0.0.0/0.

Then, enter the details of your Mongo host / database below.
