Getting Started

This integration creates a workflow with a HTTP / Webhook trigger and Voice Monkey action. When you configure and deploy the workflow, it will run on Pipedream's servers 24x7 for free.

Send an image hosted on a publicly accessible https URL to a screen enabled Alexa device such as an Echo Show. As with announcements, the Alexa routine must open the Voice Monkey Skill as its final action.

Action Authentication

Voice Monkey uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Voice Monkey account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Voice Monkey APIs in both code and no-code steps.

To retrieve your Access Tokens,

  • Navigate to your Voice Monkey account and sign in
  • Grab your Access Tokens directly from your Dashboard upon signing in

About Voice Monkey

Voice Monkey is a free Skill that allows you to trigger Alexa Routines from external sources such as IFTTT. It also allows you to make dynamic and custom Text to Speech announcements over your Amazon Echo or other Alexa smart speaker.
