  1. Select this integration
  2. Configure the New Document in Firestore Collection trigger
    1. Connect your Firebase Admin SDK account
    2. Configure Polling Interval
    3. Optional- Select a Database Region
    4. Configure Structured Query
  3. Configure the Create Single Record action
    1. Connect your Airtable (OAuth) account
    2. Select a Base
    3. Select a Table
    4. Optional- Configure Typecast
    5. Optional- Configure Return Fields By Field ID
  4. Deploy the workflow
  5. Send a test event to validate your setup
  6. Turn on the trigger

Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit new event when a structured query returns new documents
Version:0.0.6
Key:firebase_admin_sdk-new-doc-in-firestore-collection

Firebase Admin SDK Overview

With the Firebase Admin SDK API, you can build a variety of different
applications and tools. For example, you could build a tool to manage your
Firebase project's users, or a tool to monitor your Firebase project's data
usage. You could also build an app that helps you manage your Firebase
project's settings, or an app that helps you troubleshoot your Firebase
project's data.

Trigger Code

import common from "../common/common.mjs";

export default {
  ...common,
  key: "firebase_admin_sdk-new-doc-in-firestore-collection",
  name: "New Document in Firestore Collection",
  description: "Emit new event when a structured query returns new documents",
  version: "0.0.6",
  type: "source",
  dedupe: "unique",
  props: {
    ...common.props,
    query: {
      propDefinition: [
        common.props.firebase,
        "query",
      ],
    },
  },
  methods: {
    ...common.methods,
    async processEvent() {
      const structuredQuery = JSON.parse(this.query);

      const queryResults = await this.firebase.runQuery(structuredQuery);

      for (const result of queryResults) {
        const meta = this.generateMeta(result);
        this.$emit(result, meta);
      }
    },
    generateMeta({ document }) {
      const {
        name,
        createTime,
      } = document;
      const id = name.substring(name.lastIndexOf("/") + 1);
      return {
        id,
        summary: name,
        ts: Date.parse(createTime),
      };
    },
  },
};

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.
LabelPropTypeDescription

Polling Intervaltimer$.interface.timer

Pipedream will poll the API on this schedule

Database RegiondatabaseRegionstringSelect a value from the drop down menu:{ "label": "us-central1", "value": "firebaseio.com" }{ "label": "europe-west1", "value": "europe-west1.firebasedatabase.app" }{ "label": "asia-southeast1", "value": "asia-southeast1.firebasedatabase.app" }
Structured Queryquerystring

Enter a structured query that returns new records from your target collection. Example: { "select": { "fields": [] }, "from": [ { "collectionId": "<YOUR COLLECTION>", "allDescendants": "true" } ] }

Trigger Authentication

Firebase Admin SDK uses API keys for authentication. When you connect your Firebase Admin SDK account, Pipedream securely stores the keys so you can easily authenticate to Firebase Admin SDK APIs in both code and no-code steps.

  1. Enable the Cloud Firestore API on your Firebase account, and make sure you've created at least one collection in the database.

  2. Follow these instructions to generate a private key tied to your Firebase service account. This will generate a JSON file that contains the project ID, private key, and client email that you should paste below.

  3. When entering the private key, please add the full string included in the JSON file, from -----BEGIN PRIVATE KEY----- to -----END PRIVATE KEY-----, with all newline characters included.

Action

Description:Adds a record to a table.
Version:0.0.7
Key:airtable_oauth-create-single-record

Airtable (OAuth) Overview

Using the Airtable API, you can build applications that can:

  • Create and manage databases
  • Add, update, and delete records
  • Search for records
  • Sort and filter records
  • Display records in a variety of ways
  • Import and export data

Action Code

import commonActions from "../../common/actions.mjs";
import airtable from "../../airtable_oauth.app.mjs";
import common from "../common/common.mjs";

export default {
  key: "airtable_oauth-create-single-record",
  name: "Create Single Record",
  description: "Adds a record to a table.",
  version: "0.0.7",
  type: "action",
  props: {
    ...common.props,
    // eslint-disable-next-line pipedream/props-label,pipedream/props-description
    tableId: {
      ...common.props.tableId,
      reloadProps: true,
    },
    typecast: {
      propDefinition: [
        airtable,
        "typecast",
      ],
    },
    returnFieldsByFieldId: {
      propDefinition: [
        airtable,
        "returnFieldsByFieldId",
      ],
    },
  },
  async additionalProps() {
    return commonActions.additionalProps(this);
  },
  async run({ $ }) {
    return commonActions.createRecord(this, $);
  },
};

Action Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI.

LabelPropTypeDescription
Airtable (OAuth)airtableappThis component uses the Airtable (OAuth) app.
BasebaseIdstringSelect a value from the drop down menu.
TabletableIdstringSelect a value from the drop down menu.
Typecasttypecastboolean

The Airtable API will perform best-effort automatic data conversion from string values if the typecast parameter is True. Automatic conversion is disabled by default to ensure data integrity, but it may be helpful for integrating with 3rd party data sources.

Return Fields By Field IDreturnFieldsByFieldIdboolean

An optional boolean value that lets you return field objects where the key is the field id. This defaults to false, which returns field objects where the key is the field name.

Action Authentication

Airtable (OAuth) uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Airtable (OAuth) account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Airtable (OAuth) and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Airtable (OAuth) API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

data.records:readdata.records:writedata.recordComments:readdata.recordComments:writeschema.bases:readschema.bases:writewebhook:manageuser.email:read

About Airtable (OAuth)
