# Connect your AI assistant

> Choose your assistant and connect it to your Conduit workspace.

Connect your assistant once, then choose the connectors you want it to use.
Your assistant may call this an [MCP server](/docs/conduit/use/what-is-mcp) or connector.

## Connect

1. Open Conduit and sign in.
2. On **Home**, choose your AI assistant and follow its setup instructions.
   Your workspace arranges the tabs, and it may have written its own steps
   in place of Conduit's. Copy the server URL shown there when asked.
3. Sign in to Conduit when your assistant opens the browser, then approve
   the connection.

If you belong to several workspaces, select the one you want before copying
the URL. Each workspace can offer different connectors.

## Try it

Open **Connectors**, enable an app you want to use, and connect your
account if prompted. Start a conversation with your assistant and ask it to
use that app—for example, to find a document by name.

Your assistant should show a Conduit tool call and return a result. Connecting
your assistant alone doesn't enable your work apps.
