# Connect VS Code

> Add Conduit to VS Code and sign in.

These instructions use a terminal with VS Code's `code` command available.

1. Open Conduit and select **VS Code** on **Home**.
2. Copy and run the command shown there. It includes your workspace's URL.
3. In VS Code, run **MCP: List Servers** from the Command Palette, select
Conduit, and start it. Sign in when VS Code prompts you.
4. Approve the connection in your browser.

Enable an app on Conduit's **Connectors** page, then ask Copilot's
agent mode to use it. You should see a Conduit tool call and a result.

Home also shows the `mcp.json` entry to add by hand.
[VS Code's MCP guide](https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/copilot/chat/mcp-servers)
covers manual configuration and troubleshooting.
