## Description

Creates a new task and adds it to the authenticated user's task lists. [See the docs here](https://developers.google.com/tasks/reference/rest/v1/tasks/insert)

## Props

| Prop | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `taskListId` | `string` | Yes | The ID of the task list. Options are loaded from the connected account. |
| `title` | `string` | Yes | The title of the task. |
| `notes` | `string` | No | The description of the task. |
| `completed` | `boolean` | No | Mark as true if your task is already completed. |
| `due` | `string` | No | Due date of the task (as a RFC 3339 timestamp, for example 2026-07-26T00:00:00Z). Optional. The due date only records date information; the time portion of the timestamp is discarded when setting the due date. It isn't possible to read or write the time that a task is due via the API. |

const mcp = new Client({ name: "my-agent", version: "1.0.0" })
await mcp.connect(transport)

const { tools } = await mcp.listTools()

// listTools() hands your model this tool's input schema, so it can
// fill the arguments itself:
const result = await mcp.callTool({
  name: "google_tasks-create-task",
  arguments: {
    taskListId: "Task List",
