Getting Started

This integration creates a workflow with a Google Contacts trigger and OpenAI (ChatGPT) action. When you configure and deploy the workflow, it will run on Pipedream's servers 24x7 for free.

  1. Select this integration
  2. Configure the New Contact Created trigger
    1. Connect your Google Contacts account
    2. Configure timer
  3. Configure the Create Transcription (Whisper) action
    1. Connect your OpenAI (ChatGPT) account
    2. Select a Audio Upload Type
    3. Optional- Select a Language
  4. Deploy the workflow
  5. Send a test event to validate your setup
  6. Turn on the trigger

Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit new event when a new contact is created. [See the documentation](https://developers.google.com/people/api/rest/v1/people.connections/list)

Google Contacts Overview

The Google Contacts API allows you to integrate your contact data with custom applications, enabling you to sync, manage, and leverage your contact list for a variety of functions. Through Pipedream, you can seamlessly connect the Google Contacts API to various other services, streamlining contact management tasks such as syncing contact details across platforms, automating outreach or follow-ups, and gathering insights from contact interactions.

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.

Trigger Authentication

Google Contacts uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Google Contacts account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Google Contacts and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Google Contacts API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:

profileemailhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonlyhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/contactshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.other.readonly

About Google Contacts

Google Contacts is a contact management service developed by Google. This service is backed by the Google People API.

OpenAI (ChatGPT) Overview

OpenAI provides a suite of powerful AI models through its API, enabling developers to integrate advanced natural language processing and generative capabilities into their applications. Here’s an overview of the services offered by OpenAI's API:
